About the Role:
The Non Union Janitor at CE Campbell Generation, 4406, plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the facility. This position ensures that all designated areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and safety standards of the site. The janitor will be responsible for routine cleaning tasks, waste management, and upkeep of cleaning equipment, supporting the health and comfort of all employees and visitors. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent hazards and maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards. Ultimately, this role supports the smooth functioning of the facility by providing a hygienic and orderly environment that reflects the company's commitment to quality and care.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their safe usage. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an industrial or large facility environment. Familiarity with safety regulations related to cleaning and maintenance. Certification in occupational safety or hazardous materials handling. Strong time management skills and ability to work independently. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors. Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces throughout the facility. Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards. Maintain and operate cleaning equipment safely and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly. Restock cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory levels are low. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and others. Assist with special cleaning projects or events as required by management.
