Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing patient scheduling, intake, and communication while delivering exceptional service and maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. As the first point of contact for patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities Scheduling: Book, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments while managing calendars for multiple healthcare providers. Send appointment reminders and follow up with patients as needed. Patient Intake: Greet patients upon arrival, verify and update personal and insurance information, and assist with completion of required forms. Phone Etiquette: Handle a high volume of incoming calls with professionalism. Direct inquiries to the appropriate staff or department and take accurate messages. Customer Service: Provide excellent service in person, by phone, and via email. Address patient concerns, special requests, and complaints with empathy and professionalism. HIPAA Compliance: Ensure patient confidentiality and follow all privacy regulations to safeguard sensitive personal and medical information.

Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role (preferably in a medical or healthcare setting). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient with basic office software and scheduling systems. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.

Preferred Qualifications Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with insurance verification processes.

Certifications No certifications required, but HIPAA training or certification is a plus.
