Location:
This position is
based in Cleveland, OH , operating across local, regional, and interstate routes as assigned.
Schedule:
This is a
full-time, non-exempt position
requiring an average of five (5) days per week with a minimum of 240 working days per year. Drivers must maximize available driving hours in accordance with DOT regulations.
Saturday work may be required
based on customer needs.
About the Job:
The
Company Driver (CDL A)
is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of tractor-trailers to transport freight between points of origin and destination. This role ensures all cargo is properly secured and delivered on time while maintaining compliance with DOT and company safety regulations.
In This Role, You Will: Load, unload, or assist in loading and unloading trailers. Safely transport freight via tractor-trailer between designated locations (interstate and intrastate). Review all load assignments and required paperwork to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Plan travel to meet pickup and delivery schedules within Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Secure loads according to DOT and company requirements and verify legal weight limits. Conduct thorough Pre-Trip, In-Transit, and Post-Trip inspections. Report any delays, damages, or maintenance issues promptly to dispatch and safety. Maintain accurate logs and records per DOT and company standards. Communicate effectively using in-cab eLogs, dispatch systems, and mobile devices. Adhere to company PPE and safety policies at all times. May be required to sleep in the cab of the tractor as needed. Perform all other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications:

Requirements:
Must be at least 23 years of age. Valid
Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) . Minimum two (2) years of verifiable over-the-road (interstate/intrastate) tractor-trailer experience. Minimum twelve (12) months of flatbed steel hauling preferred. No more than three (3) moving violations or two (2) minor preventable accidents in the last three years. Must meet all DOT physical, medical, and substance testing requirements. No DUI within the last five (5) years. Experience with satellite communication, eLog systems, and computer literacy strongly preferred. Must have and maintain a working cell phone. Desired:
Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Mechanical aptitude and proactive problem-solving ability. Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset. Work Environment:
This position operates both
indoors and outdoors , with exposure to adverse weather, loud noise, dust, heat, cold, and wind. Work conditions may include proximity to moving machinery, vehicles, and hazardous materials.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs regularly. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and reaching required. Ability to operate motor vehicles and equipment for extended periods. Must have close visual acuity, normal hearing (with correction), and the ability to communicate clearly.
