About the Role: Wilmington Health-OB/GYN is growing and adding a 5th highly skilled Certified Nurse-Midwife to join our team. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, you will responsible for providing comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum period in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position schedule will be divided between five Midwives and will include approximately two weeks of Inpatient Nights (4 days per week, 7p-7a) and two weeks of Outpatient clinic care (4 days per week, 8a-4p). One weekend per month is required as part of your rotating schedule. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Your expertise in women's health and childbirth will be essential in providing exceptional care to our patients. Minimum Qualifications: Current certification as a Nurse-Midwife Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery North Carolina state licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse-Midwife DEA Licensure BCLS, ACLS and NRP certified Preferred Qualifications: Prior L&D hospital based experience Flexibility to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals Responsibilities: Outpatient and Inpatient care of OB/GYN patients Labor management and postpartum rounding including education and discharge planning Gynecologic care including basic GYN annuals, screening and treatment Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records Skills: As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to our patients. Your expertise in women's health and childbirth will be essential in conducting prenatal visits, assisting with labor and delivery, providing postpartum and gynecologic care. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, and maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
