Material Planner / Buyer
to join our team in
Highlands Ranch, CO
for a
1-year contract-to-hire
opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the flow of materials through the production and inventory process to support manufacturing and operational goals.
Required Skills:
Experience in
purchasing, planning, or materials coordination
within a manufacturing or supply chain environment Strong understanding of
procurement processes , material requirements planning (MRP), and inventory control Ability to review engineering and production specifications to identify material and component requirements Proven ability to
negotiate with suppliers
for best price, quality, and delivery performance Experience reviewing and processing
purchase orders, invoicing, and closeouts Proficiency in
Microsoft Office applications
and ERP/MRP systems Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, warehouse, and engineering Preferred Skills:
Experience in a
defense, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environment Knowledge of
supply chain risk management
and supplier performance tracking Familiarity with
cost analysis
and market trend evaluation Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and schedule adherence Responsibilities:
Source, purchase, and plan materials, components, and services to meet production needs Schedule and coordinate material flow through
manufacturing, inventory, and logistics Analyze material demand data to ensure adequate inventory and timely replenishment Review supplier proposals, negotiate prices, and ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements Coordinate with engineering, production, and warehouse personnel to maintain optimal material movement Approve invoices and manage
PO closeout
activities Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records throughout the product lifecycle
