About the Role:
We're seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our team in the Elgin area. This role is ideal for reliable individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. Forklift Operators play a key role in ensuring materials and products are moved efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
- Move materials to proper storage locations or production areas
- Inspect forklifts daily for maintenance needs and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate records of goods moved
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Valid forklift operator certification (training available in some cases)
- Previous forklift operation or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
- Basic computer or inventory tracking system knowledge a plus
