The Ohio State University is seeking a Dental Assistant to provide direct support and assistance to dentists and dental hygienists in the provision of dental care for students.
Responsibilities include providing general office support and direct assistance to the dentists in the daily operations of the dental service.
Education / Skills / Experience
Required: 3 months experience in dental office practices and procedures, 3 months experience in dental operatory practices and procedures, 3 months experience in four-handed assisting techniques, 3 months experience in inventory record-keeping, 3 months experience in care of dental equipment, 1 month experience in using a computer, Registered with the Ohio Dental Board as a Dental Assistant Radiographer, Basic Life Support - Health Care Worker certification.
Desired: Technical school and/or equivalent combination of education/experience, 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred, excellent verbal communication skills and manual dexterity, knowledge of Current Dental Terminology codes and terms and American Dental Association claim form.
The targeted hiring range is $20.24 to 26.44 per hour. Qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen and background check.
