Mountain Empire Community College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Dental Assisting, with opportunities for on-campus, online, and clinical instruction, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities include planning and teaching courses in various environments to students of diverse backgrounds. Salary is based on academic preparation and experience, following the VCCS Adjunct Pay Schedule.

Qualifications:

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or eligibility to obtain CDA through RDH/occupational experience.
• Satisfactory clinical experience in Dental Assisting.
• Flexible hours, including day and evening availability.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field (in progress or completed).
• DA-II or EFDA certifications (Virginia Board of Dentistry).
• College teaching experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
