As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the welcoming face for patients in person. Your responsibilities will include a standardized registration process where you will gather demographic and financial information and efficiently enter this data into an electronic medical record system. Key Responsibilities: Greet and welcome patients upon arrival Collect demographic and insurance details Check in patients and assist in completing necessary paperwork Guide patients to their appointments or procedures Potentially assist in scheduling additional appointments Document issues and resolutions in the electronic medical record Resolve claim issues or registration discrepancies on patient accounts Utilize resources and procedures for efficient registration across assigned work queues Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, focusing on complex billing situations Communicate cost information clearly to patients if needed Collect co-pays or deductibles and address inquiries regarding financial assistance programs Screen and approve patients for financial aid programs Guide patients through the application process for available financial assistance Provide technical or functional support to team members Assist patients in completing information request forms for appropriate departments Collect necessary signatures from patients Gather medical records from various departments as required Deliver excellent customer service during inbound and outbound calls Mentor new staff as needed Perform other related duties as assigned You will be recognized and rewarded for your performance in this challenging role, with clear guidance on how to succeed and avenues for further professional development. Required Qualifications: At least 6 months of customer service experience in an office or hospital environment Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Availability to work on a Per Diem basis across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, including weekends Ability to commit to standard daytime hours, Monday to Friday during the initial training period Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications: Experience within the revenue cycle Familiarity with Epic systems *Important Note:* The sign-on bonus is available exclusively to external candidates. Compensation is based on various factors, including local labor market conditions, educational background, work experience, and certifications. Alongside your hourly wage—which ranges from $16.00 to $27.69 for full-time employment—you will have access to comprehensive benefits such as health plans, incentive and recognition programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
