Patient Access Representative Associate
plays a vital role in greeting and welcoming patients in person. You'll facilitate a seamless registration process by collecting and entering demographic and financial data into an electronic medical record system. Key Responsibilities: Warmly greet and welcome patients in person Collect demographic and insurance information efficiently Assist in check-in processes and complete necessary paperwork Guide patients to their scheduled appointments or procedures Support scheduling of additional appointments as needed Document issues and resolutions accurately in the electronic medical record Resolve registration errors and claim issues on patient accounts Utilize resources and tools to complete registrations in a timely manner Verify insurance eligibility and interpret results for complex billing situations Provide cost information and explain financial options to patients as necessary Collect co-pays or deductibles and assist with financial assistance queries Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs Help patients navigate the application process for financial programs Offer technical guidance to colleagues when required Assist patients in completing information requests and submit to the appropriate department Obtain necessary signatures from patients May gather medical record information from various departments Provide excellent customer service for incoming and outgoing calls Mentor fellow staff as needed Perform additional duties as assigned In this role, you will be recognized and rewarded for your contributions in a challenging environment that provides clear guidance for success and opportunities for career development. Required Qualifications: 6+ months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting Proficient in Microsoft Office products Availability to work from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Monday and Friday Ability to work every other Saturday and Sunday Must work standard daytime hours, Monday to Friday, for the first three weeks post-hire for training Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications: Experience in revenue cycle management Familiarity with Epic software General office administration experience Physical Demands: Regular walking, standing, bending, and turning Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. and frequent lifting of 2-5 lbs.
