Overview


Position: Account Manager – Mount Vernon (Primary) at Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company. This role sells and orders product for customer accounts, serves as the frontline liaison, and ensures customer satisfaction. The position rotates product by date in market and inventory, and supports merchandising by keeping products stocked and available onsite. Hours: Monday – Friday.



Responsibilities



  • Orders product at accounts on an assigned sales route; determines product needs and places and transmits appropriate orders. Uses technology for order processing and inventory management.

  • Executes and sells big event marketing, pillar programming, innovation, and mandated features and ad activity to ensure customer satisfaction and company standards; may sell in Customer Marketing Agreements (CMA).

  • Builds, changes, and removes product displays and POS; ensures proper pricing; maintains space; cleans area; handles damaged or defective product; repacks product when possible; transports, replaces, and maintains POS advertising as appropriate for the account.

  • Communicates account activities with the customer to ensure quality and timely service. Collaborates internally with merchandisers and drivers; maintains communication about goals, projects, and day-to-day needs of accounts.

  • Ensures consistent adherence to merchandising and customer service standards. Stocks and merchandise products in the allocated beverage sections including coolers, racks, and secondary displays.

  • Maintains end-to-end ownership of the account through appropriate action and/or communication.



Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of work experience required.

  • Customer service experience in a retail environment or in a sales role with sales targets preferred.

  • Basic computer applications and technology skills required.

  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, and a driving record within policy guidelines (no major violations within the last three years).

  • Must use personal vehicle during work hours with reimbursement; proof of insurance covering business use required at time of hire.

  • Open to a flexible schedule; may be required to work some holidays to meet customer demands.



Physical Requirements


Field-work intensive. Daily and weekly travel to local accounts and prospect sites. Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. Ability to professionally represent the employer at customer locations.



Compensation


Pay: $47,000 - $54,000 per year.
