Overview

Heavy Equipment Operator at FiberTel, LLC. This role supports a Reno, NV to Sacramento, CA project.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all heavy machinery in a safe manner
  • Dig trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact & level earth to grade specifications
  • Transport materials and equipment
  • Load & unload equipment and material as needed
  • Follow all on-site safety procedures
  • Ensure contents & equipment are properly secured during transportation
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and rules
  • Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and JHA

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid CDL class A
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and machinery
  • Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years)
  • Strong focus on quality and safety
  • Excellent time management skills

Position Details

  • Pay: $26-31/hr - Subject to CA and NV Prevailing Wage Rates, depending on work location
  • Travel: Project scope spans Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV
  • Working hours: Full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week

Working Conditions

Outdoor environment with exposure to weather, varying terrain, and potential hazards. Exposed to moderate to loud noise levels; occasional exposure to natural gas or electrical hazards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours), tolerate extreme conditions, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform related physical tasks. Vision requirements include near, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
