This defined retirement benefit requires a 12% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1* Learn more at**We Require*** Three years of experience operating trucks and equipment* High school diploma or GED* Must possess a valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)* Endorsements may be required for some job assignments* State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety, but may not specifically require a valid CDL**Job Contributions*** Operate a variety of medium to large-sized construction and maintenance equipment/vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures* Plan and prioritize work tasks; read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications* Perform heavy manual labor assignments as needed and assist work crews as required* Complete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetings and other required meetings and mandatory training* Haul materials and transport vehicles, and equipment to job sites using various trucks* Other job duties as assigned**Working Conditions*** Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly* Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions* Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel**CDL Selection Procedure*** Only the most qualified candidates will be considered* Consideration will be extended exclusively to candidates who submit their applications through our online platform* Candidates will primarily be contacted via email and their Workday online application profile* Successful candidates must undergo a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation, as required by statute or policy.
