We Require Three years of experience operating trucks and equipment

High school diploma or GED

Must possess a valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Endorsements may be required for some job assignments

State and federal regulations require Maricopa County to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for all positions that require an applicant to possess a commercial driver's license (CDL). Maricopa County is also required to conduct a pre-employment safety history investigation for positions that directly impact commercial motor vehicle safety, but may not specifically require a valid CDL

Job Contributions Operate a variety of medium to large-sized construction and maintenance equipment/vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures

Plan and prioritize work tasks; read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications

Perform heavy manual labor assignments as needed and assist work crews as required

Complete required daily logs and prepare reports; attend safety meetings and other required meetings and mandatory training

Haul materials and transport vehicles, and equipment to job sites using various trucks

Other job duties as assigned

Working Conditions Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly

Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Incumbent may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel
