$25.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in various construction settings, including utility installation with trenching, backfilling, and installing different sizes and varieties of pipe (from 6" up to 60"), fittings, and underground concrete structures. The role ensures projects are completed safely and efficiently.

The Equipment Operator will play a crucial role in underground construction projects, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes safely and efficiently.
• Perform maintenance checks on equipment and report issues.
• Assist with underground construction tasks including trenching and backfilling.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair utilities, including pipes and fittings.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator with understanding of construction processes.
• Certification or license in operating heavy machinery preferred.
• Knowledge of underground construction techniques and safety practices is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and team-oriented attitude.
