Typical Schedule

Monday – Friday 7AM - 5PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay

$26 - $31+/hr Dependent upon Experience + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus

This position will be based in the shop located in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment
• Work with Tier 4 and Tier 4 final engines and aftertreatment systems (preferred)
• Utilize necessary tools to perform repairs (averaging $5,000+ in value)
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure reliability and safety
• Follow schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods
• Maintain safety standards in line with industry and Sunstate requirements
• Be willing to learn and grow within the role

Qualifications

• 2 to 4+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic with heavy construction or equipment rental background
• Intermediate experience with major and minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy equipment
• Experience with Tier 4 engines and aftertreatment systems preferred
• Must have necessary tools to perform repairs (valued at $5,000+)
• Safety oriented with a focus on maintaining Sunstate safety standards
