Quanex is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team located in Zanesville, OH.
As a trusted and confidential advisor, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing Human Resources support through relationships with management and employees while providing direction and guidance at our Zanesville, OH, and Trumann, AR (production plants) and New Haven, CT (corporate office location). The position is supported by a Human Resources Generalist located in Trumann AR Plant. You will manage the delivery of Human Resources on matters related to employee relations, performance management, training, talent management, legal compliance, and organizational development.

What Success Looks Like
- Closely partners with organizational leadership on a broad range of HR services, inclusive of recruitment strategies, employee relations, successful employee onboarding.
- Leverages HR / business skills and knowledge to influence leadership decisions and acts as a change agent to maximize people performance.
- Oversees execution of human resources policies, programs, and implementation for all responsible locations.
- Supports management through expert counsel and coaching that enhances performance.
- Resolves complex employee relations problems or issues.
- Ensures employee information such as personnel records and HRIS are up to date and accurate.
- Manages the leave of absence process to support employees’ return-to-work goals.
- Facilitates employee investigations.
- Ensures consistent, timely, and accurate application and compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Willingness to travel to other locations quarterly.
Your Credentials
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or a related field required. HR certification preferred.
- Experience supporting manufacturing organizations preferred.
- Expertise in a broad range of topics including employment law, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership development, succession planning, change management, culture assessment, employee/labor relations, and workers compensation.
- Experience in working within fast paced, complex, dynamic business environment.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonus potential
