Greet customers on the sales floor, direct them to product or to parts specialist. Check out customers and deter shoplifters. Keep the front area stocked and fronted, stock merchandise according to planograms or displays, and complete sales preparation.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and clean on a daily basis.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
• Update out-front price changes and ensure all sal signs are in place; stock sales flyers and maintain quantities of sale merchandise.
• Remove sale material when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Collaborate with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as the main shoplifting deterrent/front floor security.
• Assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities as needed.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.

Cashier responsibilities

• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
• When the express lane is not utilized and the counter is busy, assist customers by finishing tickets and processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards, etc.).

Skills / Education / Knowledge / Experience / Abilities

• Required: Good aptitude for dealing with numbers, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
