Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Position summary

Want to make a lot of people’s day? Our Member Frontline Cashier Associates are the heart of our front end. You may be the first, last, or only associate our members interact with. Smile, greet, and thank each member. Run registers and support our members through the self-checkout experience. The pace can be fast, especially in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays. You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members: scanning items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean area. It’s hard work, but many find it rewarding as part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
• Provide exceptional customer service across the club as needed; answer member questions
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
• Assist members with purchases, self-checkout, and payments according to policy
• Locate merchandise, recommend products, and support member self-service technology
• Zone the area and organize merchandise

Qualifications

• Customer service and retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register)
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task
• Strong focus on member satisfaction
• Ability to stand for long periods while assisting members quickly and accurately
• Problem solver who tackles obstacles to complete tasks with excellence

What you’ll do

• Maintains safety of facility according to company policies and procedures
• Provides member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions; resolve issues
• Promote company products and services; support member self-service technology
• Process member purchases and assist with transactions at registers or self-checkout
• Ensure area is clean and organized

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid under certain circumstances (up to $3.00/hour).
