Responsibilities

• Janitor position to wash/clean, mop, vacuum, wipe down and dust as explained by Corps Officers to keep corps building, building surrounding, parking lot and parking lot surroundings clean.
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Perform cleaning duties as needed and as directed by supervisor.
• Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, clean windows.
• Assist with basic custodial/repair tasks in shelter rooms, clean rooms as needed, and wash change linens as required.
• Perform light repair work in and around the Garden St shelter facility.

Qualifications and requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to speak Basic English
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Perform assigned tasks as determined by supervisor

Certificates, licenses, and physical requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Physical requirements: ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis; ability to grasp, push, pull objects; ability to reach overhead; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to process written, visual, and verbal information
