The Salvation Army in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking to fill a fulltime Janitor position, located at our Las Vegas Citadel location. The successful candidates for this position will have good time management skills, the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and complete assigned work efficiently. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and detailed cleaning duties for facilities that are scheduled on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis.
- General cleaning duties include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing and dusting all hard surface areas, bathrooms and shower areas.
- Detailed cleaning duties include stripping, waxing and shampooing floors/carpets, and scrubbing/painting for doors and walls.
- Maintain inventory of and advise on janitorial supply monthly orders.
- Keep restroom supplies stocked and maintain service records for smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada State Driver's License and clean driving record
- Must be able to carry out duties without close supervision
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner
- Highly adaptable; thrives on challenges and excels in new environments
- Strong time management skills and ability to complete assigned tasks
- Physically fit and able to complete all assigned work efficiently
- Understanding and acceptance of the Salvation Army's mission, philosophy, and practices
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
