Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to and demonstrate Assets, Inc. core values, mission, code of conduct, and employee expectations in the performance of all aspects of this position.
- Provide direct labor in accordance with outlined OSHA safety standards and as required by site management, including: emptying trash, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, washing windows, ground policing, spot cleaning, carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance, blinds cleaning, machine sweeping and upholstery cleaning.
- Operate industry standard equipment (vacuum cleaners, scrubbers, and extractors).
- Actively participate in company meetings and trainings.
- Maintain a proactive relationship with customers and coworkers.
- Be familiar with and follow all Assets, Inc. policies.
- Support team efforts and actively participate in strengthening team structures.
- Based on site needs, may be designated to perform coaching duties for other employees, including observation, guidance, and on-the-job training.
- Act as a role model in the work environment.
- Satisfactorily complete all required training for the position.
- May require obtaining security clearance for access to high-security buildings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and/or Experience: High school education; or six months janitorial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read simple texts and communicate in simple sentences.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out simple one or two-step instructions; handle standardized situations with limited variables.
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of office and restroom cleaning and disinfecting.
- Experience in trash removal, dusting, wiping, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
- Experience using floor cleaning equipment.

The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions.
