Functional Reports to: General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Part Time / Hourly / Union / Exempt

Pay rate: $45.91/hr.

We are looking to fill our part-time Electrician opening, which is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx.

Job Summary

The part-time electrician will provide coverage for all electrical service needs for the building, including event coverage and maintenance assistance.

Essential Duties

• Perform routine electrical maintenance and inspections throughout the arena.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Support event setups, including primary and auxiliary temporary power
• Set up and take down of basketball scoring equipment
• Setup and take down house spotlights
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to respond to urgent facility issues.
• Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and system upgrades as directed.

Supervisor Responsibility

• This position has no supervisory responsibility

Required Qualifications

• Current Maintenance Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician State of MN License

Physical Requirements

• Ability to navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas
• Ability to crawl, stoop, and kneel per the job requirements
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including but not limited to heights, elevators, darkened arena, around crowds, loud noises, and flashing lights
• Continuous standing and walking, including up and down stairs
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
