Job Description

Aparicio Associates is a small tax firm looking for a full-time professional Tax Preparer and Bookkeeper with at least 4 years of public accounting experience to join our team with opportunities for growth. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records and tax returns for clients, including high-net-worth individuals, domestic, and international businesses. International tax experience and bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine 1040 individual returns, 1065 Partnership returns, 1120 and 1120-S Corporate tax returns.
• Review reconciliations of banks, credit card, and liabilities balances.
• Review and analyze monthly & quarterly accounting records, financial statements, and other reports.
• Develop new processes to improve financial efficiency and workflow.
• Be available for overload work during tax season and report findings on organizational and management methods.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and complex corporate tax return preparation.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with current accounting software and CCH Axcess tax software.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of corporate tax returns (Sch L, M1, M2, Form 5472).
• Knowledge of individual tax returns (Form 5471, Form 8992, Form 114).
