Key Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage waste collection, storage, profiling, packaging, transport, and disposal.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation including manifests and compliance reports.
  • Conduct routine inspections and waste minimization evaluations.
  • Supervise waste technicians and ensure safety and training compliance.
  • Develop and provide training to the organization. Training programs will cover various waste management, spill response, waste identification and labelling.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in RCRA hazardous waste management.
  • Current 40 Hours HAZWOPER (29 CFR1910.120), RCRA and DOT HAZMAT Transportation (49 CFR 172) Certifications
  • OSHA 10 hour or 30 hour General Industry Certification.

Required Expertise

  • Full cradle-to-grave oversight of hazardous waste programs.
  • Experience with lab packing of complex chemical inventories.
  • Ability to conduct daily, weekly and monthly waste storage areas for compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to properly identify, label and package regulated wastes.
  • Utilize various computer programs to manage, track and account for all wastes.
