Admissions Student Ambassador - Admissions Work Study

The Community College of Denver ARO Team is seeking friendly, outgoing students to become the next Student Ambassadors, help future City-Hawks find their home at CCD, and build a better future! The Admissions Recruitment and Outreach (ARO) Team serves as the first point of contact for prospective students and their families. It is our mission to guide all prospective students through the enrollment process from inquiry to enrollment at CCD. The Student Ambassador serves as a student point of contact to share their experiences at CCD and inspire others to pursue their educational journey at the Community College of Denver. Duties and Responsibilities The following are the daily duties of a CCD Student Ambassador: Host individual and group campus tours for future CCD City-Hawks and their families. Attend off-campus recruiting events with our Enrollment Navigators in the Denver Metro area. Assist staff with planning and execution of new student events. Answer pre-enrollment questions via phone calls, IM chats, texts, and emails. Connect students with their Enrollment Navigator. Manage student records in multiple databases. Qualifications No prior experience is needed for the position. The ARO Team will professionally develop all Student Ambassadors to become the best professionals they can be both at Community College of Denver and in their future careers. The ARO Team requests that students have a positive and punctual attitude, a desire to work, to grow themselves and their peers in their academic and professional journeys. The ARO Team welcomes DPS graduates, veterans, adult learners, and other community members! Student Ambassadors at CCD will gain several skills through their work in our department that will significantly enhance their resumes, including working with multiple databases, public speaking to large groups, event planning and coordination, and peer professional relationship building! The Student Ambassador position is ideal for students in the Business, Arts, Design & Communication, and Social & Behavioral Sciences Pathways. Business students will work with several databases and learn how to make data-driven decisions. Arts, Communication & Design students will build their customer service skills and assist with creating flyers for ARO events. Social & Behavioral Science students serve our diverse student body to provide equitable support to ensure student success!
