Position: 2nd Shift Dock Worker / Warehouse Associate
Location: On-Site — Chicagoland Area
Shift: 2nd Shift
We are seeking motivated and reliable Dock Workers to join our 2nd shift warehouse team. If you’re a seasoned forklift operator or looking for a better opportunity with room to grow, this position is for you!
Position Summary
The Dock Worker is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading freight, ensuring accuracy to prevent shipping errors, customer claims, or complaints. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that plays a critical part in our shipping and logistics operations.
Essential Functions
- Load and unload trailers in a safe and timely manner
- Perform re-weighs during each shift
- Conduct daily freight inspections and equipment checks
- Inspect trailers for suitability prior to loading
- Recoup, palletize, and shrink wrap freight as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of basic dock procedures
- Forklift experience in a dock or warehouse setting
- Ability to identify and report recurring problems or safety issues
- 1–2 years of forklift experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
