Overview

Production Supervisor role at Xylem. Leading production operations for Residential Gas Meters. Responsible for a team of production professionals, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. A hands-on manager who implements best practices, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with industry regulations. Work schedule: 2-2-3, hours 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and direction to production team
  • Lead and motivate team to meet production goals
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
  • Identify and address any issues or conflicts within the team
  • Develop and implement production schedules
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
  • Analyze production data and make recommendations for improvements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production related issues
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards
  • Conduct quality inspections and audits
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures
  • Address any quality issues or concerns in a timely manner
  • Monitor and control production costs
  • Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Prepare and track production budgets
  • Make recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements
  • Communicate production updates and issues to upper management
  • Provide regular reports on production progress and performance
  • Coordinate with other departments for product launches or changes
  • Maintain open and clear communication with production team members
  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices
  • Balance individual tasks with overseeing team performance
  • Address conflicts professionally and constructively
  • Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field, with at least 4 years of experience, including at least 1 year as a people manager or equivalent
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices
  • Experience developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems

The estimated salary range is $65,000 to $72,300. Starting pay is dependent on skills, experience, and location.
