$18.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Production Associate, Chesapeake, VA

Overview: The Production Associate ensures smooth granulation operations and maintains production flow. This includes operating granulation equipment, monitoring Fluff Silos, and performing housekeeping duties. The role supports safety, quality, production goals, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety by adhering to safety standards and participating in programs.
  • Track product movement and assist with inventory and material balance.
  • Execute daily granulation and housekeeping tasks, while monitoring equipment and silo levels.
  • Operate machinery and follow established procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct Bulk Density checks to maintain product consistency and address quality issues.
  • Promote teamwork by collaborating with colleagues and supporting shift transitions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and share knowledge with team members.
  • Maintain accurate records for production activities and product tracking.
  • Support other operational areas like finishing, packaging, and maintenance when needed.
  • Train new team members on safety, quality, and machine operation.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and clamp trucks.
  • Help with continuous improvement initiatives and maintain clean work areas.

  • Strong self-motivation, professionalism, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
