We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Target Rock team. As our Manufacturing Engineer, you will interact with and support the machine shop production and personnel. The position receives minimum direction from the Plant or Manufacturing Engineering Manager regarding manufacturing methodology. You will generate detailed methods for Manufacturing Production, design tool and fixtures for both manufacturing and quality requirements, and interact with in-house manufacturing personnel as well as vendors to support tool and fixture fabrication. You will support CNC programming methods within our manufacturing facility.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary/hourly rate: $82,200 to $120,000

Please note that the salary range is a general guideline for a position based in New York. Final offer depends on qualifications, experience, scope of the position, and market considerations.

Your Challenge

  • Generates operation sheets to support all phases of manufacturing within the facility.
  • Identifies and designs tooling and fixtures required to support manufacturing processes.
  • Interacts with in-house and vendor resources to support manufacturing components, tool and fixture fabrication.
  • Performs quotations for pricing inquiries and reviews manufacturing budgets for processes.
  • Maintains all applicable manufacturing project documentation.
  • Assists in the training of shop personnel to optimize defined manufacturing processes.
  • Supports and supervises the Manufacturing Engineering Department in the absence of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What You Bring

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Associate Degree minimum in Manufacturing/Mechanical Technology or equivalent related field, or commensurate related experience
  • Ten (10) years minimum experience in manufacturing engineering responsibilities (manufacturing methods, tool and fixture design, budget and cost analysis)
  • Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing supervision experience
  • Working knowledge of Mastercam CAD/CAM software version 8.xx or greater
  • Ability to methodize complex parts with minimum supervision; knowledge of machine shop practices and techniques
  • Design and overview tool and fixturing requirements for manufacturing components
  • Knowledge of raw materials and machinability; ability to define feeds and speeds for established processes
  • Ability to generate CAD drawings
  • Ability to analyze equipment or tooling problems and implement economical solutions
  • Broad knowledge of computer-controlled machine tools
  • Able to provide quotations for manufacturing components
