Overview

Manufacturing Engineer position at Advatech Pacific in Irvine, CA. Advatech Pacific is an established Aerospace & Defense Engineering firm supporting engineering, modeling, research and development, design and analysis services.

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply manufacturing engineering practices to support complex machining, particularly gears.
• Read 2D drawings and create marking fixture drawings.
• Contribute to lean manufacturing, product planning and routing.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality in assigned tasks.
• Utilize knowledge of manufacturing software and tracking; produce clear reports and solve problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process improvements.

Qualifications

• A background in complex machining, particularly for gears.
• A minimum of 8 years manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read 2D drawings and create marking fixture drawings.
• Good working knowledge of lean manufacturing, product planning and routing.
• Attention to detail and understanding of the need for accuracy, timeliness and quality in tasks.
• Knowledge of Catia and CAD software, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies is desirable.
• Knowledge of various Manufacturing Software and Tracking.
• Excellent report writing and problem solving skills.
• Extensive use of MS Office tools and strong written skills.

Education

Requires a B.S. in Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
