Job Summary

The Indiana Production Facility (IPF) is Acuity Brands’ largest manufacturing site in the USA, located in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The role involves mechanical and electrical engineering work in product, tool, machine, and process design, collaborating with other disciplines to enhance production quality and efficiency, and supporting production through equipment issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and review production data to ensure process improvements are maintained.
• Support quality processes to increase throughput and reduce customer impact.
• Lead and facilitate kaizen events to improve manufacturing processes.
• Train operators on lean principles and manufacturing processes.
• Design lean cells and collaborate on new product manufacturability.
• Research industry trends and technological advancements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
• 1-5 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Principles, Lean Cell Design, and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of engineering concepts like Design for Manufacturability, FMEA, and process control.
• Proficient in computer and analytical skills.
