Responsibilities
- Optimize the production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in alignment with quality, efficiency, cost, and safety targets.
- Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components support production targets.
- Define the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
- Identify and recommend improvement opportunities and lead improvement projects within timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
- Approve process designs developed internally or externally and perform final tests related to the project.
- Provide support to Production during internal/external process and equipment start-up, define action plans, and train maintenance and production resources.
- Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction; define and lead testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience leading large projects.
- Excel experience; PowerBI is a plus.
- Lean, Six Sigma experience.
- Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
