POSITION SUMMARY: Perform cleaning duties to keep assigned work areas, including the men's residence hall, in a clean and orderly condition. May work alone or with a small crew that includes student employees.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Floor maintenance (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc.)
• Restroom cleaning, sanitation, and paper product replenishment
• Trash can emptying
• Set a strong example for student employees
• Other tasks as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work with others and set an example for students
• Take initiative on projects and tasks
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn hazards and safety methods related to custodial operations
• Must be responsible to complete cleaning duties independently
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to keep time and attendance records (preferred)
• Ability to perform physical inventory of equipment and supplies (preferred)
