Overview

Position: Forklift Warehouse Operator. Location: Wilmington, Illinois. Employment type: Permanent Full Time.

Ryder is hiring immediately for a Forklift Operator in a safe, modern distribution environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract and ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core production shift.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License/certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; adaptable to a diverse work environment.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Detail-oriented with good follow-up practices and a high degree of initiative.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $18.50 per hour
• Overtime pay: $27.75 per hour
• Sign-on bonus: $1,000 (half paid at 30 days, half paid at 90 days)
• Schedule: Wednesday 11:00 am – 4:45 pm; Thursday–Saturday 5:00 am – 4:30 pm
