Shipping Forklift Operator role at Quirch Foods.

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift and electric pallet jack as needed.
• Inspects product being received for damages.
• Keeps warehouse organized and clean.
• Performs inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Picks point of sales orders for customers picking up product.
• Performs stock rotation of product.
• Receives trucks in a timely and accurate manner to load and unload tractor-trailer trucks per purchase order requirements.
• Follows appropriate protocols and inspects machinery before and after use.
• Scans and places labels on products as required.
• Maintains the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
• Maintains accurate inventories.
• Ensures facility maintenance through housekeeping, keeps product and facility secure, and maintains facility assets.
• Slotting of products in rack system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift and OSHA certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently to perform tasks, including reading labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and shipping documents.
• Ability to operate various types of equipment and handheld scanners; CK31 & CK71 scanner knowledge a plus.
• Good judgment to operate forklift safely and handle products efficiently, with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
• Physical requirements: standing, sitting, walking; twisting; lifting, pushing, and pulling 20-100 lbs regularly.
