Forklift Operator (Day Shift) at Quirch Foods

Overview: Join to apply for the Forklift Operator (Day Shift) role at Quirch Foods. This position supports warehouse operations, including forklift operation, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift and electric pallet jack as needed
• Inspects product being received for damages
• Keeps warehouse organized and clean
• Performs inventory cycle counts as needed
• Picks point of sale orders for customers picking up product
• Performs stock rotation of product
• Receives trucks in a timely and accurate manner to load and unload tractor-trailer trucks per purchase order requirements
• Scans and places labels on products according to requirements
• Maintains the integrity of products through proper handling and storage
• Maintains accurate inventories
• Ensures facility maintenance through housekeeping, security of products and equipment, and asset safety
• Timely and accurate slotting of products in rack systems

Qualifications And Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English sufficiently to perform job duties including reading labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and instructions
• Ability to operate various types of forklift configurations and handheld scanners with training
• Familiar with CK31 & CK71 scanner a plus
• Good judgment to operate forklift safely and handle products efficiently, with professional communication
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, and occasional sitting; ability to lift 20 to 100 pounds; repetitive twisting and bending as needed
