Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Permanent Full Time AGV Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Warehouse Positions pay weekly.

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $2.00 Shift Premium
• Schedule: Third Shift; Rotating 3 & 4 Day Workweek
• Hours: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
• Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday
• Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years or more related warehouse experience
• Two (2) years or more powered industrial lift experience
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics, and follow written and verbal instructions in English for safety and work instructions
• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Input data into computer systems in use
• Work overtime as assigned
• Develop and maintain professional relationships at all levels
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Multi-tasking, highly organized with excellent time management
• Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented with follow-up practices
• Operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.), including basic maintenance and battery changes
• May operate additional manual or automated warehouse equipment (e.g., packaging line) – intermediate level
• Powered industrial truck certification preferred
• Safety Sensitive Position
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records checks, road tests, or customer-specific badging or background requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide corrective maintenance to AGV units that have stopped or are not working as expected
• Manually override or complete the job the AGV unit failed to finish
• Track issues/repairs and use escalation processes
• Follow location and work center safety and security policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
• May perform other warehouse functions as needed
• May train others in various warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment
