Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time AGV Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Warehouse positions paid weekly.

Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $2.00 Shift Premium
• Schedule: Third Shift; Rotating 3 & 4 Day Workweek
• Hours: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
• Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday
• Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years or more of related warehouse experience
• Two years or more experience with powered industrial lift equipment
• Ability to read and perform basic math; understand and follow written and verbal safety instructions
• Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Input data into computer systems
• Work overtime as assigned
• Maintain professional relationships at all levels
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management skills
• Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Safety-sensitive position
• Operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and perform basic maintenance
• May operate other warehouse/manufacturing equipment; intermediate level
• Powered industrial truck certification preferred

Important Note: Some positions require additional screening such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide corrective maintenance to AGV units that have stopped or are not working as expected
• Manually override or complete the job the AGV unit failed to complete
• Track issues/repairs and use escalation process
• Follow location and work center safety and security policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
• May be required to perform other warehouse functions
• May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment
