Position Description
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time AGV Operator in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Warehouse positions paid weekly.
Compensation and Schedule
- Hourly Pay: $21.50 per hour
- Additional Pay: $2.00 Shift Premium
- Schedule: Third Shift; Rotating 3 & 4 Day Workweek
- Hours: 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
- Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday
- Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years or more of related warehouse experience
- Two years or more experience with powered industrial lift equipment
- Ability to read and perform basic math; understand and follow written and verbal safety instructions
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Input data into computer systems
- Work overtime as assigned
- Maintain professional relationships at all levels
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Strong multitasking, organization, and time-management skills
- Flexibility to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Safety-sensitive position
- Operate powered industrial trucks (stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and perform basic maintenance
- May operate other warehouse/manufacturing equipment; intermediate level
- Powered industrial truck certification preferred
Important Note: Some positions require additional screening such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide corrective maintenance to AGV units that have stopped or are not working as expected
- Manually override or complete the job the AGV unit failed to complete
- Track issues/repairs and use escalation process
- Follow location and work center safety and security policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May be required to perform other warehouse functions
- May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment
