O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring: DC Forklift Operator - Inbound in Lakeland

Overview

Join to apply for the DC Forklift Operator - Inbound role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Location: Lakeland, FL. This role operates fork trucks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner while unloading trucks and moving freight within the distribution center (DC).

Responsibilities

• Move incoming merchandise from truck to dock, and dock to correct stocking areas.
• Stock all rack merchandise and arrange rack surplus from zones in the appropriate manner.
• Set down rack surplus for zones so orders can be filled and replenishments can be made to stocking locations.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks that require a fork truck.
• Replenish outbound totes as needed, where applicable.
• Assist with maintaining mezzanine zones.
• Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
• As a trainer, experienced team members may be designated to lead the DC target training program, ensuring that training is conducted on schedule and that all documentation is complete. Explain specific job duties and functions to help ensure success of new team members, as well as to convey any departmental or procedural changes to existing team members.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Must work well in a team environment
• Required: Operating knowledge of fork trucks and power equipment
• Desired: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Desired: Experience operating various types of power equipment
• Desired: Advanced knowledge of parts lines in warehouse and surplus merchandise locations
• Desired: Advanced computer skills
• Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
