KTA is recruiting full-time and part-time Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) in the PA/NJ/NY area. All applicants must be willing to travel and work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate fabrications and assemblies in bridge and related construction settings.
• Travel as required to client sites within the PA/NJ/NY area; work multiple shifts as needed.
• Operate in accordance with applicable codes and standards for welding inspection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent - required
• Current AWS CWI - required
• Bridge fabrication inspection experience
• MT & UT Level II - desirable
• AMPP (NACE) certification - desirable
• ICC Bolting and/or ICC Structural Steel - desirable

Knowledge/Skills

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Decision-making skills
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to navigate the internet

Physical Requirements

• Vision (near, distance, depth) and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to travel extensively and work outdoors, including inclement weather
• Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs

Drug testing and criminal background and motor vehicle check will be conducted. Salary Range: $30-42/hour with comprehensive benefits package. Hourly rate is based on experience and certifications.
