KTA is recruiting full-time and part-time Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) in the PA/NJ/NY area. All applicants must be willing to travel and work multiple shifts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and evaluate fabrications and assemblies in bridge and related construction settings.
- Travel as required to client sites within the PA/NJ/NY area; work multiple shifts as needed.
- Operate in accordance with applicable codes and standards for welding inspection.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent - required
- Current AWS CWI - required
- Bridge fabrication inspection experience
- MT & UT Level II - desirable
- AMPP (NACE) certification - desirable
- ICC Bolting and/or ICC Structural Steel - desirable
Knowledge/Skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Decision-making skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to navigate the internet
Physical Requirements
- Vision (near, distance, depth) and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to travel extensively and work outdoors, including inclement weather
- Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain
- Ability to lift 25+ lbs

Drug testing and criminal background and motor vehicle check will be conducted. Salary Range: $30-42/hour with comprehensive benefits package. Hourly rate is based on experience and certifications.
