Responsibilities

Provide outstanding patient care and invest in your community with the support of Heartland Dental. Maintain full clinical autonomy while delivering high-quality hygiene services and collaborating with the patient care team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in South Carolina and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required).
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years of clinical experience.
• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care.
• Clinical needs as required by the office.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Occasional attendance at virtual or in-person training sessions throughout the year.
• A TB test is required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN); arrangements and guidance provided during pre-employment.
