LTAC Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Urbana, Illinois 61801 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), Advanced Care/EMU Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/15/2025 – End: 12/13/2025)
• Nursing Shift: Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing Contract
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2130–$2190
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of recent nursing experience in PCU, Intermediate, Stepdown, or Trauma 1 healthcare settings
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
  
  

LTAC RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with LTAC and advanced care protocols
• Implement evidence-based procedures and nursing theories for acute and critical care patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for integration by the healthcare team
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Continuously evaluate and modify care plans based on patient and family needs
• Monitor EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity and respond appropriately
• Collaborate with critical care teams, hospitalists, and other clinical support staff
• Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams using hourly rounding and bedside shift reports
• Provide constructive feedback and engage in ongoing professional development
