- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
- Start Date: October 13, 2025
- End Date: January 10, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call Requirements: 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule (13-hour call shifts; must be onsite within 1 hour if called in)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2030
Qualifications
- Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Associate\'s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association required)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in the Emergency Department
- Implement, monitor, and modify nursing interventions based on patient needs and clinical evaluation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care and interventions
- Promote patient and staff safety by following established emergency nursing protocols and promptly addressing safety concerns
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide feedback to peers and participate in ongoing professional development and emergency nursing education
- Maintain compliance with all departmental competencies and hospital standards
