ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for acute and critical conditions
• Administer emergency medications, manage IVs, and provide advanced airway support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy
• Utilize Meditech for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to other units as required by hospital policy
• Maintain compliance with hospital and Joint Commission standards
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families during emergencies

ER RN Qualifications

• Active New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license (RN license)
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ER or critical care nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech charting system
• Previous charge nurse and community hospital experience preferred
• Ability to manage a 1:4 patient ratio in a fast-paced emergency room setting
• Must not have been employed at Gila Regional Medical Center in the past 2 years
• Travel nurses must reside more than 70 miles from Silver City, NM

• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/08/2025 – End: 12/08/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1910-$1960 per week
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: Meditech
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Smoke/Nicotine Free Campus
