Assignment details: Location – Tracy, CA 95376; Unit – Emergency Room (ER); Assignment type – Locum tenens travel nursing contract; Start date – October 13, 2025; End date – January 12, 2026; Duration – 13 weeks; Shift – 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30), 3 shifts per week; Hours per week – 36; Weekend coverage – Every other weekend and occasional back-to-back weekends; Orientation – 16 hours; Estimated weekly salary – $2030–$2170.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room.
- Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for diverse emergency conditions.
- Administer medications, IVs, and blood products.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services).
- Utilize Epic charting system for accurate documentation.
- Respond to trauma, cardiac, and other critical emergencies.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in orientation and complete required e-learning modules.
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required for California nursing jobs).
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross).
- Experience with Epic charting system (preferred).
- Community hospital experience (required).
- Patient ratio experience: 4:1.
- Ability to care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics.
- Available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing.
- 2 professional references from the past year (required).
- Ability to float as needed.
- Must be able to work at least every other weekend.
