PCU Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Louisville, KY 40202
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Job Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: October 12, 2025
• End Date: January 10, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift (6:45pm – 7:15am), every other weekend required
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current and active Kentucky RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient acute care RN experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required

PCU RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments in accordance with hospital policy and patient condition
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to clinical interventions and treatments
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor and preceptor to new staff
• Promote teamwork, participate in quality and patient safety improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
