Telemetry RN Job Details – Louisville, KY

• Job Title: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens, Night Shift
• Location: Louisville, Kentucky 40202
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Telemetry Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing / Contract (Locum Tenens)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45pm – 7:15am), every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/19/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1890-$1940

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license (required for Louisville nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience in acute care or telemetry
• Experience with Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down patients
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments according to hospital policy and patient condition
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to clinical interventions in the telemetry unit
• Provide patient and family education throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; mentor and precept new nursing staff
• Promote teamwork and participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in the Practice Governance model
