  • Unit: 3N Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit
  • Assignment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
  • Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:30)
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend)
  • Start Date: September 22, 2025
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 3 holidays during assignment
  • Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
  • Charting System: Cerner Powerchart
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1770 - $1820

Telemetry RN Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact state, or willing to obtain)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiac RN experience
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted with proof of enrollment)
  • Experience with Cerner charting required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  • Ability to float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as needed
  • Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules (self-reported)

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions (heart failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain)
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, respond promptly to changes in patient status
  • Administer and manage cardiac drips (no titration), vasoactive drips, and cardiac medications
  • Perform central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and wound care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response)
  • Float to similar units or affiliate hospitals as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner Powerchart
  • Follow all professional conduct standards and facility policies
