Qcells North America is hiring: Equipment Technician - Night Shift in Dalton

Location: Dalton, GA

Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours) — Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Position: Equipment Technician

Reports to: Equipment Manager

Summary: The Equipment Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance on equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities in accordance with industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances
• Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools and jacks
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or provide recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
• Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
• Reassemble machine parts after completing maintenance and repair work
• Remove hardened material from machines or machine parts using power and hand tools, jack and sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• +3 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions
• Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
• Ability to handle basic tools
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requirements and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, etc.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
